What it solves

Independent publications and knowledge bases need a reading experience that keeps navigation, long titles, code, and practical reference material clear without depending on a heavy frontend runtime. Rackora provides that structure as a Halo theme.

Who it is for

Independent publishers, technical writers, documentation teams, and knowledge-base maintainers running Halo 2.x sites.

Why it exists

Many publishing themes prioritize prominent visual media over the article itself. Rackora is built for low-image technical publishing, with a quiet article stream, controlled tag navigation, and layouts that remain readable on small screens.

Key capabilities

  • Responsive light, dark, print, and reduced-motion presentation modes
  • Eleven Halo route templates plus dedicated About and Documentation templates
  • Article table of contents, reading progress, heading anchors, code copying, and related reading
  • Configurable site profile, social links, article sidebar, categories, tags, and optional banners
  • Route-specific canonical URLs, Open Graph, Twitter Card, and visible content metadata
  • Optional integrations through Halo extension points for comments, search, RSS, and friend links

Engineering notes

Rackora is a GPL-3.0 Halo theme that supports Halo >= 2.20.0. Its source uses Thymeleaf templates, TypeScript, Vite, and Highlight.js language modules. The theme package is built and validated locally before release, with its version kept in sync across package.json, theme.yaml, and the release archive.
