EVERETT LABS

ABOUT

Everett Labs is an independent software lab built by Frank.

I build practical open-source software for the web, browsers, WordPress, and Linux — with an unreasonable attention to reliability, privacy, and detail.

Everett Labs is not a generic portfolio or a résumé website. It is a working laboratory for tools that solve real problems: link management, browser bookmark workflows, WordPress site health, Linux server maintenance, and edge-native applications.

Everything here is built in public, documented, and designed to be self-hosted or inspected. The goal is long-term ownership: software you can run, fork, or learn from without asking permission.

BRAND PRINCIPLES

Useful before impressive

Projects should solve real problems rather than exist only as technical demonstrations.

Reliability over unnecessary complexity

Critical paths must remain understandable, testable, and difficult to break.

Open by default

Projects should support inspection, self-hosting, modification, and long-term ownership whenever appropriate.

Privacy-aware

Avoid unnecessary telemetry, tracking, remote processing, and data collection.

Details matter

Good developer tools are often defined by small interactions, clear error handling, safe defaults, and thorough documentation.
